Grocery Shopping

This past week I finally had a chance to sit down and analyze my finances and realized that grocery shopping is KILLING me. I decided that it was time to start grocery shopping like a normal person and start looking for sales. I made a list of different staples that I use every month and started searching for prices online but kept getting turned around in circles by different coupon sites and other advertisements. So I am changing this blog to be about finding deals and to list different prices that I was able to get for staples.

The first item that I would like to mention is diapers. I have 2 kids in diapers and being that I use disposable diapers the amount that I have been spending has really been adding up. The solution for this was to use Amazon and to become an Amazon Mom. There is no charge for joining and you get an additional 15% off as well as free shipping for the year. In addition to that I also "subscribed and saved". What this is, is for different products that you know you will be using on a monthly or bi-monthly basis you can set up a delivery for that item and get an even bigger discount. In this case it was another 15% off. What this came down to was by buying Luv's size 4 diapers 204ct, I was able to get each diaper for $.13. If anyone is able to do better, let us all know.

  3. The program is called Amazon Moms, but you can CLEARLY state in the application that you are a dad. I think that we should petition the name to be changed to Amazon for People who shop for Children.

  4. That is quite a mouthful. How about Amazon for Parents, even at the risk of offending grandparents

  5. I was afraid to insult people who were taking care of other children or buying for their friends.
